Institutions Under Strain: The Collected Record
The complete institutional file behind Record No. 002: budgets, appointments and disappearing disclosures, assembled in order.
A decade of tabulations, instruments and correspondence does not fit comfortably on one web page. This volume assembles the working file behind Record No. 002 in print.
What a collected record is for
The written Record is reprinted as an introduction. The body of the volume is the evidence itself: tables complete rather than excerpted, instruments in facsimile and correspondence in full. It is intended for the reader who may need, years from now, to check the account.
The right of reply, bound in
A record that intends to stand carries its subjects’ replies with it. The documented institution has been invited to lodge a response of any length for unedited inclusion. The invitation will be printed with any response, or a note that none was received.
Status
The volume is in preparation and will follow The Permanent Record, Volume I to press. Progress is noted here and by newsletter.
